Nice/Hotel story

My journey into Nice began the moment I stepped onto Tram Line 2 from the airport. If you want a preview of how beautiful, clean, and intentional this city is, just look down during your ride—the tram tracks are lined with lush green grass. It felt like a peaceful introduction to a truly classy destination.

Nice has a unique atmosphere. It is stylish and effortlessly elegant, yet it never feels overly pretentious. The streets feel safe, and the overall vibe lets you breathe.

🏨 Discovering Hotel de Suède

When I finally arrived at Hotel de Suède, I realized I couldn't have asked for a better spot. Tucked into an amazing pocket of the city, the hotel is surrounded by vibrant cafes, local restaurants, and boutique shops, while still being just a stone’s throw from the sparkling Mediterranean ocean.

The building itself is a wonderful mix of old and new—a charming historic exterior blended with a modern, flashy, yet intimate boutique interior. Walking in, the receptionists were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

  • The Room: A fantastic size featuring a comfortable queen bed, a handy fridge for local market finds, a sparkling clean shower, and a beautiful classic window that let the bright French Riviera light flood in.

  • The Highlight: Breakfast is served on the top floor, and it is an absolute dream. You can sit out on the rooftop balcony, sip your morning coffee, and look out over the stunning rooftops of Nice. It was a beautiful, serene way to start every single day.
